The slip-resistant surface really does make a difference on wet grass, which is where my old one kept sliding away. Stitching on the panels looks solid too, no loose threads after a couple weeks of daily kicking.
Took this to the beach last weekend and the slip-resistant surface kept my bare feet from losing it on the sand. Even after a few drops in the water it didn't get soggy or heavy like my old one did.
